The X Factor Series 8 - The auditions week 2
Another-week of auditions was underway as Britain's biggest singing-competition went through a second-round of searching as Gary, Tulisa, Kelly and Louis were in Liverpool and London in search for the next big-thing in music.
One of the auditionees the judges met was 22-year old Craig Colton from Liverpool, who also had a surprise in-store after he revealed that his parents were in the audience but did not know he was auditioning.
His audition of Adele's 'Hide My Heart Away' got everyone on their feet and it was 4 YES's all-round from the judges, which sealed his place in Bootcamp.
Another auditionee coming-out to impress the judges were a boyband called The Keys, made up of 5 singers, whom described Take That as the band they look up to.
They chose Aloe Blacc's 'I Need A Dollar' for their audition, which also included a rap and from the reaction they got, it was a definite 4 YES's for The Keys, who continue their X Factor journey into Bootcamp!
Another hopeful was 45-year old Johnny Robinson, who sang Etta James 'At Last' for his audition. Having received a standing-ovation, he got something else as well and that was 4 YES's from the judges, which sees him continue his journey right into Bootcamp.
Another auditionee hoping to impress the judges was 20-year old Derry from Croydon. With Tulisa asking whom he was out to impress, he response was...'Kelly Rowland.'
Derry chose to sing Usher's 'Can You Help Me?' and it definitely got Kelly smiling but it did cause of a bit of debate between the judges, with Kelly and Louis both saying they'd like to see him in a group, whilst Tulisa disagreed and said she'd prefer him as a solo act.
It was decision-time for the judges and starting with Gary, it was a YES.
Louis was next and it was also a YES from him.
Another YES came from Tulisa, meaning that Kelly was the last to decide but before it was a clear YES from her, Kelly asked him of something....a kiss on her cheek!!!!!!
With no hesitation, he did so but her follow-up got the crowd going crazy as did Derry's friends, who were backstage.
It was happy days all-round for Derry, who also secured a place in Bootcamp as well!
