From the auditions to Bootcamp and the Judges' Houses right to the LIVE shows, the winner was finally crowned!

Saturday-night was the first-night of The X Factor LIVE Grand Final show whilst on Sunday-night was the 2nd and last-night, down at Manchester Central and it proved to be the most intense and pressurising weekend!

The Grand Final started with 3 finalists as Jahmene, James and Christopher battled-it-out against each-other to win enough votes to stand a chance of winning that £1 million recording contract.

With only 2 places up-for-grabs for the last-night of the Grand-Final, it meant that 1 act would finish in 3rd-place.

After the voting-lines freezing, it was revealed that Christopher received the fewest of public-votes, which meant that he finished in 3rd-place, having received 16.8% of the public vote.

So the contest for the X Factor crown was between Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur!

After another star-studded night with the last Grand-Final LIVE show, with both Jahmene and James performing their versions of what would have been the winners' single, with all proceeds going to the Together For Short Lives charity, it was time to finally reveal who had won that £1 million recording contract!

The finalist who had won The X Factor 2012 was..........JAMES ARTHUR!

James received 51.7% of the votes, whilst Jahmene finished as runner-up, having received 31.5% of the votes!

So it was James' winners single 'Impossible' that is OUT NOW!
