TONIGHT.....another X Factor journey will end for ONE act

Last night was all about the performances....or was it?

The 6 remaining finalists took on that X Factor stage TWICE to win YOUR votes in the LIVE Semi Final show and to stand in with a chance of making that Grand Final!

But there came a twist...with a DOUBLE ELIMINATION as the X Factor journeys had sadly come to an end for Brendan Murray and Danny Tetley.

It also meant that for this-year, the winner was not going to be from the Overs' category, which now means that the winner will be either amongst the Boys category or the winner could be the last acts in the Girls or in the Groups.

Tonight will see the attention turn to the next set of results and with only 3 places up-for-grabs for that Grand Final, means that 1 act will sadly see their X Factor journey come to an end.

Only 3 acts will make it through to next-week's Grand Final and YOUR votes are going to be important.

eXtra NEWS

A lot of action has happened The X Factor and there's also been plenty of action outside of it too.

Some former X Factor stars have gone on to new pastures which includes  Rachel Adedeji who was on the 2008 series and then made the move to Soapland on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks where she plays Lisa Loveday.

But for this former X Factor star, Soapland is not a new location for him because he had previously appeared on another soap called Brookside and after years away from Soapland, he is returning to it!

Finishing as runner-up on The X Factor back in 2006, Ray Quinn is back on television once again and he also, has been cast on the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, where he will play newcomer Jonny.

Congratulations Ray and good luck with what will be a controversial storyline!
