The X Factor series 8 - LIVE Quarter-Final Weekend!

DAYS LEFT FOR X FACTOR LIVE SEMI-FINAL SHOW: Only 4 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR X FACTOR LIVE SEMI-FINAL RESULTS' SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF REBECCA FERGUSON's DEBUT ALBUM 'HEAVEN': Only 6 days to go!

Saturday-night, it was double of the excitement as the 5 acts performed twice on that X Factor stage with Guilty Pleasures and Heroes' night, in their bids to make-it through to the Semi-Final.

Meanwhile, on Sunday-night, it was all-about the tense results, which were the deciding factor!

After seeing some of this-year's X Factor finalists' return on-stage performing charity single 'Wishing On A Star' with JLS and One Direction and performances from both Jessie J and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs with the Muppets, it was time to reveal those all-important results.

The first-act who made-it through to the Semi-Final was..........AMELIA!

The second-act who booked a place in the Semi-Final was..........MARCUS!

Only 1 more place from the public vote was up-for-grabs and only Little Mix, Janet and Misha B were left on-stage waiting to find-out who secured that place.

The final-place from the public-vote went to..........LITTLE MIX!

So that meant that both Janet and Misha B were in the bottom-two, resulting in them performing for the judges' vote in the dreaded Final Showdown.

A tough and tense decision it was for the judges' but sadly, it had to be done.

Louis was first-up to decide and he decided to send-home..........JANET.

Tulisa was next to decide and the N-Dubz star decided to send-home..........JANET.

It was a difficult decision for Kelly because she was next-up to decide, having to choose to send one of her own acts home.

Kelly was unable to choose which act she was to send-home so the decision was down to the majority vote and as Louis and Tulisa decided to send Janet home, those votes had counted which meant that the X Factor journey ended for Janet Devlin.

Gary didn't need to decide but was asked who he would have sent home and he too, said he would have sent Janet home.

So it was Misha B who secured that final 4th-place in the Semi-Final and it was Janet who was eliminated from the competition.

Missed any of the action? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer

Good luck to the 4 remaining acts, the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!

The X Factor Series 8 - LIVE show weekend 7

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF REBECCA FERGUSON's DEBUT ALBUM 'HEAVEN': Only 14 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF X FACTOR 2011 FINALISTS' CHARITY SINGLE 'WISHING ON A STAR': Only 7 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF OLLY MURS' NEW ALBUM 'IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW': Only 7 days to go!

Weekend 7 saw The X Factor go to the Movies!

The 6 acts did all they could on Saturday-night with their performances, in their bid to remain in the competition, whilst on Sunday-night, they found-out their fate on the hit ITV show, with the results!

After performances from star-of-the-moment Rihanna and last-year's X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, it was time to reveal those all-important results of the viewers' votes.

The first-act through to Weekend 8 was..........MISHA B!

The second-act securing a place were..........LITTLE MIX!

The third-act booking a place in next-week's show was..........MARCUS!

So it was Janet, Amelia and Craig left on-stage and only 1 more place from the public-vote was up-for-grabs.

The last-place from the public-vote went to..........JANET!

So it was Amelia and Craig who ended-up in the bottom-two, resulting in them to to perform against each-other in the Final Showdown for that last and final-place, which was the decision for the judges' to make.

After such hard-to-call performances from both acts, it was time for the judges' to make a decision.

Gary was first-up to decide and remaining loyal to his act, he decided to send-home.....AMELIA.

Kelly was next-up to decide and like Gary, remained loyal to her act and decided to send-home.....CRAIG.

Tulisa was next-up to decide and after such-time, she decided to send-home.....AMELIA.

Last-up was Louis, who had to make the casting-vote and after taking a little-bit of time, he decided to send-home.....CRAIG.

So that meant there was no-majority vote, resulting in the first DeadLock of the series, which also meant that it was back to the results' of the viewers' vote.

The 1 act who received the fewer of votes and was leaving the competition was.....CRAIG.

So Amelia Lily secured that last and final place in the competition but sadly. it was the end of the X Factor adventure for Craig Colton.

Missed any of the action? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer

Good luck to the 5 remaining acts, the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!

The X Factor Series 8 - Live Show Weekend 6

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF REBECCA FERGUSON's DEBUT ALBUM 'HEAVEN': Only 22 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF X FACTOR 2011 FINALISTS' CHARITY SINGLE 'WISHING ON A STAR': Only 15 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF OLLY MURS' NEW ALBUM 'IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW': Only 15 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF ONE DIRECTION's LATEST SINGLE 'GOTTA BE YOU': Only 1 day left to go!

A Queen vs. Lady GaGa week meant that there was bound to be plenty of action and that was exactly what happened on Weekend 6!

Last-night, it was all-about the performances as the 7 acts had done their bit with their performances. Tonight, it was all-about the Results as 7 was to turn to 6.

After performances from last-year's finalists' One Direction and star-of-the-moment Lady GaGa, it was time to reveal those all-important results.

The first-act making-it through to Weekend 7 was........CRAIG!

The second-act who secured a place from the public vote was........JANET!

Another-act going-through to next-week's show was........MARCUS, which also means that both of Gary's acts' are through!

The fourth-act who made it through was........AMELIA!

So Little Mix, Misha B and Kitty were the only acts left on that X Factor stage and only 1 more place from the public vote was up-for-grabs.

That fifth and final place from the public-vote went to........LITTLE MIX, which also means that Tulisa's last remaining Group are through to Weekend 7!

It turned-out to be that Misha B and Kitty had ended-up in the bottom-two so they had to perform for the judges' vote in the Final Showdown.

After hard-fought performances from both acts, the judges' had to make their decision on who was to get that 6th-remaining place.

Louis was first-up and remaining loyal to his own-act, he decided to send home........MISHA B.

Tulisa was next-up to reveal her decision and after a while, she decided to send home........KITTY.

It was Kelly's turn to reveal her decision and she maintained her loyalty towards her own-act and decided to send home........KITTY.

Gary, who didn't need to make any-decision for the last 2-weeks, had to make the casting-vote this-time and after a while, he decided to send home........KITTY.

That decision meant that Misha B secured that final-place and that also meant that all 3 of Kelly's acts' were intact.

Also, that also meant that Louis was the first-mentor to lose all his acts as Kitty was the only act remaining in the Over 25s category.

Kitty's exit turned-out to be a dramatic-one as Lady GaGa had stormed-out on-stage on The Xtra Factor to give the eliminated-act a hug.

Missed any of it? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer

Good luck to the 6 remaining acts, the eliminated acts, the guest-stars, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!

DAYS LEFT FOR
6TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 3 days to go!

There's been a lot of-action this-week when it comes to The X Factor!

In the space of a few-days, X Factor journeys came to an end for The Risk and Johnny on the ITV show and despite receiving enough-votes to stay in the competition, Frankie also left but this-time, it was down to breaking-rules.

So the competition was down to 6 acts but now, it will be back to 7 acts, with Weekend 6 only 2 days away and also, it's Queen vs. Lady GaGa Week as well!

The first-week of the LIVE shows saw James Michael, Amelia Lily, 2 Shoes and Jonjo Kerr leave the show and also, it was the week with NO public vote!

Now 1 of those 4 acts will become the 7th act, which also means that one of them will be given a lifeline and also, they'll be back in the race for that £1 million recording-contract.

However, the decision on which 1 of those 4 acts and becomes the 7th-act returning to The X Factor, is all-down to YOU!

Frankie Cocozza leaves The X Factor

DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF X FACTOR 2011 FINALISTS' CHARITY SINGLE 'WISHING ON A STAR': Only 20 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR 6TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 4 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR
6TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

There has been some shocks on this-year's X Factor and it looks like there is more of them because there has been another today.

Weekend 5 saw 2 acts leave the show but another act has also left despite having received-enough votes to go-through to Weekend 6, which is only 4 days away.

Frankie Cocozza, who was one of Gary Barlow's acts, has left The X Factor after breaking competition rules and will not take-further part in the series.

A statement from Frankie said:
'I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of today, I will no longer be in The X Factor. My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.'

This now means that Gary is down to only 2 acts' in his category and it also means that only 6 acts are remaining at this-time in the race for that £1 million recording-contract.

A statement from an X Factor spokesperson said:
'Frankie is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules. He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future.'

Also, there is an announcement expected tomorrow building-up to Weekend 6.

Wonder what that will be but it is definitely something to keep an-eye out for.

The second-act who also made it-through was..........MARCUS!

Another act who secured a place to Weekend 6 was..........MISHA B!

The fifth-act making-it through was..........FRANKIE, which also meant that all 3 of Gary's acts' had made it-through to the next-round!

With 4 acts left on that-stage, only 1 more place from the public-vote was up-for-grabs and the act who secured that place was..........JANET, which also meant that both of Kelly's acts' had secured their places into Weekend 6!

That also meant something else too, as The Risk, Kitty and Johnny were the 3 acts who received the fewest of public-votes, which meant that they were in the bottom-three.

Two acts had to perform in the Final Showdown whilst the one act who received even fewer-votes had to be eliminated from the competition!

The act that had received fewer-votes and were immediately out of the competition were..........THE RISK.

It turned-out to be a shock for everyone, which also meant that Tulisa had only one act remaining in her category.

So the Final Showdown was between Kitty and Johnny and only 1 place was left but the decision who got that place was down to the judges, who had made that decision after both acts from the Over 25s category had performed.

Louis was first to decide and for the second-time this-year, he had to eliminate 1 of his own-acts but after a while, he decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.

Tulisa was next-up and the N-Dubz star had decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.

Kelly was next-up to decide and after taking some-time, she decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.

So it was 3 votes to send Johnny out of the competition, which meant that it was Kitty who made it-through to Weekend 6. Gary did not-need to decide but he did reveal that he would have sent Johnny out.

Missed any of the action? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer

Good luck to the 7 remaining acts, the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the guest-stars, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!
