The X Factor series 8 - LIVE show weekend 5
DAYS LEFT FOR RELEASE OF X FACTOR 2011 FINALISTS' CHARITY SINGLE 'WISHING ON A STAR': Only 21 days to go!
DAYS LEFT FOR 6TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!
DAYS LEFT FOR 6TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!
A Floorfillers' Week definitey filled to match it's name for Weekend 5!
Saturday-night was all-about the performances for the 9 acts, as they performed on that X Factor stage in a bid to remain in the competition!
Whilst on Sunday-night, it was all-about the results as they were to discover whether they secured their place for Weekend 6!
After performances from Florence & The Machine and our 2008 runners-up JLS, it was time to reveal those all-important results.
The first-act who made it-through to Weekend 6 was..........LITTLE MIX!
The second-act who also made it-through was..........MARCUS!
Another act who secured a place to Weekend 6 was..........MISHA B!
The fourth-act booking a place for Weekend 6 was..........CRAIG!
The fifth-act making-it through was..........FRANKIE, which also meant that all 3 of Gary's acts' had made it-through to the next-round!
With 4 acts left on that-stage, only 1 more place from the public-vote was up-for-grabs and the act who secured that place was..........JANET, which also meant that both of Kelly's acts' had secured their places into Weekend 6!
That also meant something else too, as The Risk, Kitty and Johnny were the 3 acts who received the fewest of public-votes, which meant that they were in the bottom-three.
Two acts had to perform in the Final Showdown whilst the one act who received even fewer-votes had to be eliminated from the competition!
The act that had received fewer-votes and were immediately out of the competition were..........THE RISK.
It turned-out to be a shock for everyone, which also meant that Tulisa had only one act remaining in her category.
So the Final Showdown was between Kitty and Johnny and only 1 place was left but the decision who got that place was down to the judges, who had made that decision after both acts from the Over 25s category had performed.
Louis was first to decide and for the second-time this-year, he had to eliminate 1 of his own-acts but after a while, he decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.
Tulisa was next-up and the N-Dubz star had decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.
Kelly was next-up to decide and after taking some-time, she decided to send-home..........JOHNNY.
So it was 3 votes to send Johnny out of the competition, which meant that it was Kitty who made it-through to Weekend 6. Gary did not-need to decide but he did reveal that he would have sent Johnny out.
Missed any of the action? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer
Good luck to the 7 remaining acts, the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the guest-stars, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!
