The X Factor series 9 - LIVE Show Weekend 4

DAYS LEFT FOR 5TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR 5TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!

Weekend 4 was one with a Halloween theme but it was also a challenge as 9 acts battled against each-other with their performances, as they fought to win YOUR votes and a place through to Weekend 5.

Originally, it was meant to be 10 acts but that wasn't the case, as Lucy Spraggan was unable to perform to due to illness, which meant that 9 acts performed on Saturday-night.

With Saturday-night all about the performances, Sunday-night was all about the results.

After performances from Robbie Williams and US band Fun, it was time to reveal those tension-ridden results, as 7 places from the public vote were up-for-grabs whilst the 8th place was up-for-grabs in the Final Showdown.

The 2 acts that had received the fewest votes were Union J and Jade Ellis so whatever the outcome, one of them was going to see the end of their X Factor journey. It also meant that the bottom-two was between Louis' and Tulisa's respective categories.

With Union J performing first and Jade performing last, it was decision time for the judges.

Louis was first-up and on the verge of tears, he defended his own act and opted to send home.....JADE.

Tulisa was next and with no-hesitation, she defended her own act and opted to send home.....UNION J.

Nicole, who saw all 3 of her acts through to Weekend 5, was next-up to decide and after some time, she decided to send home.....JADE.

Gary was left with the casting-vote and after quite a while, he decided to send home.....JADE.

Sadly, the X Factor journey came to an end for Jade Ellis, which also meant that Union J secured the 8th place and progress through to Weekend 5, which also meant that Tulisa lost her first-act in the competition.

Missed any of the action from Weekend 4 or do you want to relive it again? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/itvplayer

Good luck to the 9 remaining acts, the judges/mentors, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!

The X Factor series 9 - LIVE Show Weekend 3

DAYS LEFT FOR 4TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR 4TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!

It was the week of Club Classics, as the 11 acts performed on-stage in their bid to win a place for Weekend 4, which were to be decided by the public vote!

Saturday-night was all-about the performances, whilst Sunday-night was all about the results, with 9 places decided by the public vote whilst the 10th remaining place was to be decided in the Final Showdown.

After guest-stars Emeli Sande and Labrinth and 2008 X Factor runners-up JLS performed, it was time for those tension-ridden results to be revealed.

The 2 acts that received the fewest of public votes and having to perform in the Final Showdown were MK1 and Kye Sones, so it was a battle between Gary and Louis' respective categories for the 2nd-week in-a-row.

MK1 were first to perform whilst Kye was last-up to perform. With both acts doing all they could to convince the judges, it was decision-time.

Louis was first-up to decide and with no surprise, he remained loyal towards his act and opted to send home.....KYE.

Gary was next to decide and maintaining his loyalty towards his own act, he opted to send home.....MK1.

Nicole, who saw all 3 of her acts through to Weekend 4, was next to decide and after some time, she decided to send home.....MK1.

Tulisa, who also saw all 3 of her acts through to next-week's show, was left to make the casting-vote and after a while, she decided to send home.....KYE.

So it was 2 votes each for MK1 and Kye, meaning that for the 3rd-week in-a-row, the vote went to DEADLOCK.

Referring back to the public vote, the act who had received fewer votes was.....MK1.

The result also meant that it was Kye who secured the 10th remaining place in next-week's show.

Missed any of the action from Weekend 3? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/player

Good luck to all 10 remaining acts and the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!

The X Factor series 9 - LIVE Show Weekend 2

DAYS LEFT FOR 3RD X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR 3RD X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!

Another weekend of X Factor action came and went!

As part of the Love & Heartbreak theme, the 12 acts performed on Saturday-night on that X Factor stage, in their bid for the public votes and a place for Weekend 3.

Sunday-night was all-about the decision by the public, with the voting results, which was to define who secured a place for Weekend 3!

After performances from 2010 X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and US Grammy award-winning star Taylor Swift, it was back to business as the results of the public vote were revealed in no-particular order!

With 10 guaranteed places up-for-grabs and a 11th-place to be fought for in the dreaded Final Showdown for the judges' vote.

The 2 acts whom had received the fewest of public votes and had to compete in the Final Showdown were Melanie Masson and District 3, making it a battle between Gary and Louis' respective categories.

After District 3 having performed first and with Melanie last-up to perform, it was decision time for the judges, on the act they were sending home.

Louis, who had the casting-vote last-week, was first-up to decide and defending his own act, he decided to send home.....MELANIE.

Tulisa, who saw all 3 of her acts intact, was next to decide and after a while, she decided to send home......MELANIE.

Gary, who had stormed-off after last-week's results; show, was next-up to decide and he too, decided to defend his own act, opting to send home......DISTRICT 3.

So it was 2 votes for Melanie and 1 vote for District 3 but there was still one more vote to cast and that one was down to Nicole, who also saw all 3 of her acts through.

Nicole, after quite some time, decided to send home......DISTRICT 3.

So the votes were tied, which meant that for the 2nd-week running, the result went to DEADLOCK, meaning that the act who received fewer votes was to leave the competition.

The act who had received the fewest of votes and was eliminated from the show was......MELANIE.

The result meant that District 3 had secured the 11th and final-place for Weekend 3, meaning that Louis had kept all 3 of his acts intact, whilst for the 2nd-time, Gary lost another act from his Over 28s category.

Missed any of the action from Weekend 2? You can watch both The X Factor and The Xtra Factor online NOW on the ITV Player @ http://www.itv.com/player

So Weekend 2 is officially over but Weekend 3 is along the way!

Good luck to the 11 remaining acts and the eliminated acts, the judges/mentors, the presenters and everyone of the X Factor team!
