The X Factor series 11 - LIVE Show Weekend 5 (MJ v Queen)

DAYS LEFT FOR 6TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!

DAYS LEFT FOR 6TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!

The LIVE Show Weekend 5 saw the 9 acts' perform on that X Factor stage, taking-up songs' from the biggest legends in world music in Michael Jackson and Queen!

Not only did they take on the songs, they were performing for YOUR votes, which would have decided on who stays and who sadly, was to leave the contest for that recording contract!

Saturday-night was all about the performances but Sunday-night, it was all-about the results!

After a performance from Sam Smith, the all-important results' were finally revealed.

With 7 places up-for-grabs for Week 6 from the public vote, the 8th-remaining place was to be decided in the dreading Sing Off.

The first-act who had made it through to Week 6 was..........STEREO KICKS!

The next-act who had also made it through was..........FLEUR!

Also having made it through was..........BEN!

The next-act who also made it through was..........ANDREA!

Another act who had also made it through was..........LAUREN!

Also having made it through was..........STEVI!

Only 1 more place was up-for-grabs from the public vote and the act who had secured that last-spot.....was to be revealed later on!

Not to forget that there was still one more star performance to come, from our very-own One Direction!!!!!!

With Only The Young, Paul Akister and Jay James' left on-stage, all they could do is find-out who had made it through to Week 6 from the public vote.

The last-remaining place from the public vote went to..........ONLY THE YOUNG!

So with all 7 places' taken-up, it meant that Paul and Jay had received the fewest of votes and as a result, had to perform for the judges' vote in the dreaded and intesne Sing Off.

With Paul having gone first and with Jay performing last-up, it was decision-time for Simon, Cheryl, Mel B and Louis!

Simon was up-first and having praised both acts, he kept the faith with his act and opted to send home.....PAUL.

Mel B was next-up and she too, kept the faith with her act and opted to send home.....JAY.

Cheryl was next-up and having praised both acts and after some-time, she decided to send home.....JAY.

Louis was last-up but wasn't wanting to give a name and instead called for the result to go to DeadLock but was then instructed by Dermot that he had to give a name to make it 2 votes each and on that note, he decided to send home.....PAUL.

So the votes' were 2 for Paul and 2 for Jay, which confirmed that the decision went to DEADLOCK.

It was back to the public vote and the act who received fewer votes' was to see their X Factor journey sadly come to an end.

The 1 act who had received fewer votes' and was leaving the competition was.....PAUL.

So it meant that 8th-remaining place for Week 6 went to Jay James and it also meant that Simon had kept all 4 of his Over 25s' intact.

It also meant that Paul Akister's X Factor journey had sadly come to an end.

So with LIVE Show Weekend 5 over, it's LIVE Show Weekend 6 to come and it will be Big Band Night!!!!!!
