The X Factor series 11 - LIVE Show Weekend 7 (Elton John vs Whistney Houston)
DAYS LEFT FOR 7TH X FACTOR LIVE QUARTER-FINAL SHOW: Only 5 days to go!
DAYS LEFT FOR 7TH X FACTOR LIVE QUARTER-FINAL RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!
With LIVE Show Weekend 7, it was a celebration of two big legends in music, as the 7 acts performed on that X Factor stage with songs from Elton John and Whitney Houston!
Saturday-night, the attention was on the performances but there was also attention on the results' too because the twist that was in store.....was DOUBLE ELIMINATION!
So not only did the 7 acts' had to perform their socks off, they had to do what they could to avoid the devastation of leaving the competition on the night too, which was to be decided by YOUR votes.
Sadly, it was Only The Young that had received fewer votes' and it meant that their X Factor journey had come to an end.
With Sunday-night, it was all-about the results' and with 6 acrs' remaining, only 1 more act was to sadly see their X Factor journey come to an end.
After the performance from Labrinth, the results' on had made it through to the Quarter Final were revealed.
With 4 places' up-for-grabs from the public vote, the 5th-remaining place was to be decided in the dreading Sing Off.
The first-act who had made it through was..........STEREO KICKS!
Also having made it through was..........FLEUR!
The third-act who had made it through was..........BEN!
So with 3 acts' having gone through, there was only 1 more place left from the public vote and that was to be revealed later on the show, as there was still another performance to come from former X Factor judge Gary Barlow with Take That!
After their performance, it was time to reveal who had secured that last remaining place, with Lauren Platt, Andrea Faustini and Stevi Ritchie left on that stage awaiting their X Factor fate.
The last-remaining place from the public vote went to..........LAUREN!
So it meant that Andrea Faustini and Stevi Ritchie had received the fewest of votes and had to perform for the judges' vote in the Sing Off.
With Andrea having performed first and with Stevi performing last, the decision was to be made by Simon, Cheryl, Mel B and Louis.
Mel B was up-first and impressed by the Sing Off, she kept the faith with her own act and opted to send home.....STEVI.
Next-up was Cheryl and after some time, she decided to send home.....STEVI.
Simon was up next to decide and he too, kept the faith with his own act and opted to send home.....ANDREA.
Last-up with the casting vote was Louis and after a while, he opted to send home.....STEVI.
So it meant that the X Factor journey had sadly come to an end for Stevi Ritchie whilst Andrea Faustini secured the 5th remaining place into the Quarter Final.
It also means that there are no more Wildcard acts remaining in the competition.
So that concluded LIVE Show Weekend 7, now it's all-about the LIVE Quarter Final Weekend and it's The X Factor Jukebox!
