The X Factor series 11 - LIVE Show Weekend 6 (Big Band Week)
DAYS LEFT FOR 7TH X FACTOR LIVE SHOW: Only 5 days to go!
DAYS LEFT FOR 7TH X FACTOR LIVE RESULTS' SHOW: Only 6 days to go!
With LIVE Show Weekend 6, it meant that another weekend of live X Factor action got started!
It was all about Big Band Week, as the 8 acts' performed on that X Factor stage once again on Saturday-night for YOUR votes and they were not alone, as they had a live orchestra playing too!
With the attention of Saturday-night being on the performances, the attention on Sunday-night turned on the results, which revealed the fate of the 8 acts.
After the performance from former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, it was time to reveal those all-important results.
Only 6 places were up-for-grabs from the public vote but the 7th-remaining place was to be decided in the dreading Sing Off.
The first-act who made it through to Week 7 was..........FLEUR!
Also having made it through was..........ANDREA!
The third-act who had also made it through was..........STEREO KICKS!
Another act who had also gone through was..........LAUREN!
The fifth-act who had also gone-through was..........BEN!
With only 1 more place left from the public vote, it was between Only The Young, Jay James and Stevi Ritchie and the act who had secured that place was to revealed later on.
Not to forget that there was a performance to come from former X Factor finalist Olly Murs' as well as the World Premiere of the official video of the BandAid30 single 'Do They Know It's Christmas'
After more exciting performances plus an anxious wait, it was time to reveal who had secured the final place from the public vote.
The last-remaining place from the public vote went to..........ONLY THE YOUNG!
So it meant that Jay James' and Stevi Ritchie had received the fewest of votes and a result, had to perform in the Sing Off for the judges' vote.
It also meant that the Sing Off was between 2 of Simon's Over 25s.
With Jay having gone-up first and Stevi having gone-up last to perform, it was decision time for the judges.
First-up was Simon and facing the dilemma of choosing between both his acts, decided to send home.....STEVI.
Next-up was Louis and having praised both acts, decided to send home.....STEVI.
Mel B was next-up and having expressed her confusion, took the decision to send home.....JAY.
Left with the casting vote was Cheryl and after some time, decided to send home.....JAY.
So with 2 votes' each, meant that the result went to DEADLOCK.
As a result, it meant that 1 act with fewer votes would leave the competition.
The act who had received fewer votes and was heading out of the competition was.....JAY.
That also meant that Stevi Ritchie had secured that 7th remaining-place for Week 7 but for Jay James, it was sadly the end of his X Factor adventure.
So with LIVE Show Weekend 6 over, it's LIVE Show Weekend 7 to come and it's Elton John vs Whitney Houston!
