It has been a tragic time for all the friends, family and loved-ones of Boyzone's Stephen Gately, who tragically passed away.
His funeral has been confirmed for Saturday and this will be the time to pay last requests to Stephen.
It has now been confirmed that Louis will NOT appear on The X Factor this weekend as he will be attending the funeral.
A statement was released a while ago, saying: 'Due to recent tragic events, Louis Walsh will not be appearing on either the Saturday or Sunday live The X Factor shows this weekend as he is attending Stephen Gately's funeral. Louis has been in close contact with his acts throughout the week, although his opinions will not be represented in the show this weekend.
'Our thoughts are with Stephen's family and friends at this sad time.'

It was a shock to have heard that our X Factor 2006 winner Leona Lewis was punched at her book-signing at Waterstones Piccadilly yesterday, which resulted in the book-signing ending early.
Leona has released a message on her official website, saying: 'Thank you so much for your support it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I'm very sorry to those I wasn't able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages. Love you all.'
We love you, Leona! We're proud of you and we're backing you all the way!
