Weekend 6 was all about the Best Of British, as the race for the £1 million recording-contract entered it's 6th-week.
Saturday-night was all-about the performances, as the 7 acts performed their own choice of song in their bid to go-through to Weekend 7, which was going to be decided by the public vote.
Sunday-night, the attention was all on those tension-ridden results, which were revealed after performances from last-year's X Factor winners' Little Mix and BRIT award-winning star Ed Sheeran.
With 5 places up-for-grabs through the public-vote, the 6th-place was up-for-grabs through the Final Showdown.
The 2 acts that had received a fewest of public votes were District 3 and Union J, which meant that it was a battle of the boybands and Louis' respective category.
With District 3 performing first and Union J performing last, the judges' had to make the decision.
First-up it was Louis, who decided to remain loyal to both his acts and refused to vote, which meant that the decision was down to his fellow 3 judges.
With a vote refusal, the attention was on Gary to make the first-vote and with no hesitation, he decided to send home.....DISTRICT 3.
Nicole was next-up to decide and after taking some time, she decided to send home.....DISTRICT 3.
So with 2 votes for District 3, it sadly meant that their X Factor journey came to an end and the 6th remaining-place went to Union J.
Despite Tulisa not having to make a decision, she was asked who she would have sent home, she said that she would have opted to send-home Union J.
